Descendants of Christopher Main, Jr. and Mahala Johnston
Christopher Main, Jr. was born in 1795, probably in Connecticut. He was the son of Christopher Main and Amelia Weaver. In 1817, he married Mahala Johnston in Butler County, Ohio, and by 1822 they had settled in Henry County, Indiana, where Christopher worked as a farmer. Mahala Johnston was born ca. 1796 in Kentucky to William Johnston and Janie Register. She died in 1865. Christopher married twice after her death, to Patsy Hufford in 1866 and Mary Conaway in 1878. He passed away in 1882 in Henry County.
