Jones

Descendants of Jacob Jones and Matilda Chappell

Jacob Jones was born in North Carolina in 1792, the son of James Edwin Jones, Jr. and Lydia Bramlett. In 1816, he married Matilda Chappell in Surry County, North Carolina. Matilda was born in 1802 in North Carolina. Around 1830, Jacob and Matilda moved north to Henry County, Indiana, where Jacob worked as a farmer. Jacob died there in 1889, and Matilda passed away in 1884.
