Descendants of Jared Davis and Eliza Jaquish
Jared Davis was born ca. 1816 in Pennsylvania. He married Eliza Jaquish, who was born in Ohio in 1822. They moved relatively frequently. In 1850, they lived in Kenton, Kentucky, where Jared worked as a river trader. Ten years later, they were in Dearborn County, Indiana, and he made a living as a day laborer. In 1870, he worked as a steamboat steward, living in Cincinnati, and by 1880, he and Eliza were living in Abilene, Kansas. Eliza passed away in 1891 in Muncie, Indiana, and Jarred died two years later.
